J. C. Yang is the author of the Shattered Earth, an adventure-thriller series exploring science, history, and metaphysics, intended for young adult and college educated readers. With a doctorate from Boston University, he has a background in clinical and health research, bringing a level of scientific realism and interdisciplinary depth to his writing.

He grew up reading Percy Jackson and Jurassic Park, books that filled him with a sense of wonder and ignited his passion for storytelling. He now writes to recreate that same immersive experience for readers who crave intellectual authenticity and intricate worldbuilding.

Before turning to fiction, Yang was writing and directing narrative films, including The Remnants, an award‑winning detective thriller recognized at the International Christian Film & Music Festival in 2021. Several years of personal research into monastic traditions, textual criticism, systematic theology, information theory, and early Christian history laid the groundwork for the five‑part Shattered Earth series.
